Solution

The term PCR stands for polymerase chain reaction. It is a technique which is used in molecular biology to amplify a single copy of DNA to obtain millions of copies. The gene which is used for insertion in the vectors can be amplified by using this technique. This technique is commonly used in DNA fingerprinting method for the amplification of the DNA sample which is obtained from the site of investigation. There can be DNA samples obtained and amplify for detection in the paternity testing method. This method helps in the diagnosis of mutation which takes place in genetic disorders. Any gene can be amplified and studied by using this technique. For genetic experiments, the amount of sample which is required is more and so this technique is useful. The DNA obtained from the organism will be less which can be amplified and used for the experiments.
