Red blood cells are the numerous, non-nucleated and biconcave corpuscles of blood.

Haemoglobin:

  1. Haemoglobin is the red-coloured pigment found in the RBCs.
  2. The red colour of blood is due to the presence of haemoglobin.
  3. Haemoglobin is an oxygen carrier i.e., it can bind with oxygen and transports it to all parts of body.
