Solution
Insulin is a hormone secreted by the pancreas that regulates the sugar levels in the blood by increasing the cellular uptake of glucose and reducing its level in the blood.
When the pancreas fails to maintain the sugar levels due to decreased insulin secretion, the sugar level in the blood is detected high and a doctor recommends taking the insulin injections externally in a condition called diabetes.
