What is the function of live wire ,Neutral wire , earth wire.

The live wire which is required to carry the electric current power station to the electrical device that you want to use.
The Neutral wire which is required for the completion of the circuit. current returns to the power station through the neutral wire in the supply cable.
earth wire is required for the protection of human being and appliance. It is connected to any metal parts on the outside of the unit, such as a metal case.when due to broken cables or loose connections live wire touches the metal parts of the appliance. large current flows in the body of the appliance and if anyone touches the appliance will get an electric shock but if an earth wire is permanently connected to the appliance it will provide an immediate path for current to safely flow through.
