Functions of Nephridia:

  1. Nephridia remove the metabolic waste and toxins from the body along with useless hormones.
  2. It also helps in maintaining the balance of water and salt in the body i.e., osmoregulation.
  3. The nephridia is a coiled tubular microscopic structure that begins as a funnel that collects excess fluid from the coelomic chamber.
  4. The funnel connects through pores to the surface of the body wall or within the gastrointestinal tract.
