1. Golgi bodies was first discovered by Camillo Golgi.
2. They are flat, disc shaped cisterns stacked parallel to one another.
3. Golgi bodies major function is to package the material and send it to lysosomes ,chloroplast etc.
4. They also help in the sperm formation which is one of the most important function of the male reproductive system.
5. Golgi bodies are called as the traffic police as they target the material and secrete the material outside the cell.
