The correct option is B Regulation and control of the amount of light entering into the eye
The pupil is the opening in eye which allows light to enter. It is connected with iris which has tiny muscles that can either widen or narrow, depending upon surrounding light. At night, for example, the muscles will relax so that the pupil widens and there is sufficient light entering the eye. When it is too bright outside, the pupil will contract to allow less light to enter and thus prevent the retina from damage. Hence, pupil regulates and controls the amount of light entering the eye.
