Amides are the functional group in which the Carbonyl Carbon atom is joined with a Nitrogen atom, Hydrogen atom, or Carbon via a single bond.
Amides are the amine derivatives of Carboxylic acid.
When the Carboxyl group reacts with the molecule of the Amine group which upon heating form an Amide group.
