The correct option is C 20 min
The inital presure of CH3CHO(g) is 80 mm.
After 20 minutes, let x be the change in the pressure of CH3CHO(g).
Total pressure will be (P0x)+x+x=P0+x=80+x=120mmHg
Hence, x=40mm.
Thus the pressure of CH3CHO(g) after 20 min is reduced to 8040=40mm. Thus it is reduced to half.
Thus 20 min is the half life period.
