Pressure exerted by water column $(P_{w}) = h_{2} d_{2} g (s a y)$
Given, $P_{m} = P_{w} \Rightarrow h_{1} d_{1} g = h_{2} d_{2} g \Rightarrow h_{1} = \frac{h_{2} d_{2}}{d_{1}}$
$\Rightarrow h_{1} = \frac{(20 \times 10^{- 2}) m \times 10^{3} k g m^{- 3}}{(13.6 \times 10^{3}) k g m^{- 3}}$
$= 1.48 \times 10^{- 2} m = 1.48 c m$ .
