Ferrocene is an organometallic compound with the formula Fe(C5H5)2. It is, a type of organometallic compound consisting of two cyclopentadienyl rings bound on opposite sides of a central metal atom. Such organometallic compounds are also known as Sandwich compounds.

So while naming two cyclopentadienyl rings will be ligand and named as 'dicyclopentadienyl' followed by name of metal 'iron' and as its a neutral molecule oxidation state will be (0). It can also be written bis (cyclopentadienyl) iron (0).
