Phylum Annelida is a very broad phylum belonging to the kingdom Animalia.
The Annelids are found in aquatic as well as terrestrial environments.
These are bilaterally symmetrical invertebrate organisms. Their segmented body distinguishes them from any other organism. For example: Earthworms, Leeches etc.
The largest class of annelids is Polychaeta.
This class generally consists of marine annelid worms and are commonly known as Bristle worms.
Examples of the organisms of these class are lugworm (Arenicola marina). Pompeii worm found in the Pacific Ocean are amongst the most heat-tolerable organisms known.
