  1. The liver of the frog is the largest digestive gland or organ in the body of the frog (Rana tigrina).
  2. It is reddish-brown in colour and is present on the anterior side of the body cavity.
  3. In a frog, the liver consists of two lobes and the right lobe is smaller than the left lobe.
  4. The liver produces digestive juice known as bile which is necessary for the digestion of fats.
  5. Bile is temporarily stored in the gall bladder through the hepatic ducts.
