Open in App
Solution

Length of the room = 96m
Breadth of the room = 50 m

The HCF of the 96 and 50 will be size of square tiles.

HCF 96 and 50 = 2m
Area of the room = length × breadth = 96×50=4800 m*2

Area of tiles = 2×2 =4m*2

So, no. of tiles required = 4800÷4 = 1200 tiles.

ie maximum length of the square tile=2m
