What is the location of Permanent tissue and Meristematic Tissue in plant body.

Dear student,

Meristamatic tissues are found in zones of the plant where growth can take place.
It includes : 1.Apical meristem(at root and shoot tips)
2.Lateral meristem - includes Vascular meristem(secondary tissues like xylem and phloem) and cork cambium (beyond the phloem area)
3.Intercalary meristem(nodes or leaf attachment).

Permanent tissues :
Type Subtype Found in
Simple permanent tissue Parenchyma epidermis, cortex, pericycle, pith, xylem
Collenchyma below the epidermis(some contains chloroplast)
Sclerenchyma dead cells
Complex permanent tissue Xylem Water conducting tissue. Contains both living and nonliving cells
Phloem Food translocation tissue.Contains both living and nonliving cells.
Secretory or specialised tissue Glandular Glandular cells on outer cells of the plant. They secrete resin, oil, mucilage, tannin, gums.
Lacticiferous Latex cells as found in madar and Latex vessels as found in rubber, papaya etc
