What is the magnetic field outside a bar magnet ? uniform or non uniform?

When bar magnet is placed in magnetic meridian (i.e., in geographic north-south directions) then magnetic field outside the bar magnet is non uniform. It is because the resultant magnetic field is due to bar magnet and earth's magnetic field.
