A field trip or field visit or training in the field is a campaign undertaken by a group of employees/ trainees to a place away from their actual work site. In other words, trainees are taken to actual workplace/ site/facility to gain exposure and knowledge. They are taught the manner of work by the supervisor/ manager of the facility visited by the participants. They are free to clarify their doubts from the organization experts. This method helps the trainees to strengthen their theoretical knowledge obtained in a classroom environment by practical exposure.
