The correct option is C To promote integrated organic farming
Ramesh Chandra Dagar is a farmer from the Sonipat district of Haryana who practiced integrated organic farming. It is considered as a zero waste process as the wastes generated from one process can serve as raw material for the other.
It does not involve the use agrochemicals like chemical fertilisers for crops, as cattle excreta (dung) itself is used as manure (natural fertilizer). It does not involve the usage of pesticides as well.
Dagar includes bee-keeping, dairy management, water harvesting, composting and agriculture in a cyclic chain such that one process supports the other. This venture results in maximum utilisation of resources, is extremely economical and provides better efficiency in production. To promote the practice of integrated organic farming, Ramesh Chandra Dagar has created the Haryana Kisan Welfare Club with about 5000 farmer members.
