• The ozone layer absorbs most of the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun and prevents them from reaching the earth's surface. But due to the decrease in the concentration of ozone in the air, the harmful ultraviolet rays can enter the earth's lower atmosphere to cause skin cancer, cataract in the eyes, sunburn, etc..
• It can also increase the erath's temperature, leading to the global warming.
