Malphigian Body:

  1. Nephrons are the functional units of the kidney.
  2. Nephrons have two parts, glomerulus, and renal tubule.
  3. Glomerulus is formed by a tuft of capillaries from afferent arteriole.
  4. Afferent arteriole brings blood to the kidney.
  5. Glomerulus is enclosed by a cup-like structure called bowman's capsule.
  6. Glomerulus together with bowman's capsule is called a malphigian body.
  7. It is also called renal corpuscle.
