Open in App
Solution

Step 1: Calculating the molecular mass of slaked lime,Ca(OH)2:-

The molecular mass of 1 mole of slaked lime, Ca(OH)2 is

=40+(16+1)×2=40+34=74g

Step 2:- Calculating the mass of 2.5 moles of slaked limeCa(OH)2:-

Since 1 mole of slaked lime weighs 74g

2.5 moles of slaked lime is =2.5×MolecularmassofCa(OH)2g=2.5×{40+(16+1)×2}=2.5×(74)=185g

Hence, The mass of 2.5 moles of slaked lime, Ca(OH)2 in grams is 185g
