During election campaigning there are some restrictions given by the supreme court called the code of conduct :

1. They cannot use any place of worship for election propaganda .

2. The cannot use government vehicles, aircraft or official during the election campaigning .

3. Once the elections are announced the existing ministers can not lay the foundation stone for any projects , the cannot make any major policy decisions and they cannot promise free facilities to the public .
