Solution

The correct option is A 1.2 M
4% W/W NaOH means 4 g of NaOH in 100 g of solution.
So if we consider the solution to be 100 g, then the no. of moles of NaOH present =440=0.1
We know that,
Molarity = MolesVolume in Litres of the solution
To find the volume, Density =MassVolume
i.e., 1.2=100Volume
Volume=1001.2 mL
Molarity =0.1×1.2×1000100=1.2M
