Solution
A neuron has three main parts:
a cell body or cyton, dendrites, and axon.
Cell body
is centrally located and has a nucleus.
A long fibre like structure come out of the cell body called as axon.
A protective covering that surrounds fibers called axons is called Myelin sheaths.
The main purpose of the Myelin sheath is to act like an insulation and avoid the mixing of impulses in the adjacent axons.
Many small fibres come out of the cell body known as dendrites.
Neurons sends the information from one part of the body to the brain or spinal cord and vice versa.
