Solution

Phase change:

  • When there is a phase transition from a liquid phase to the gaseous phase, this process is known as Vapourization.

Vapourization:

  • Vapourization can occur either by boiling or evaporation.
  • Evaporation occurs more rapidly in liquids as a liquid becomes warmer due to the increase in vapor pressure.
  • Boiling occurs when the vapor pressure of the liquid is equal to the atmospheric pressure.
  • The temperature at which liquids begin to boil is known as the boiling point.
