What is the normal frequency range of the human ear?
10,000 cycles/sec
Ears are delicate and sensitive organs. They detect minute changes in air pressure produced by sounds in the environment. Sounds are described in terms of their frequency, known as “pitch,” and intensity, known as “loudness.” Frequency is measured in hertz (Hz). The human ear can only respond to variations in the air if they are in the frequency range, roughly 20 Hz - 20,000 Hz.
