Question

What is the order of reaction whose rate constant has the same unit as the rate of reaction?

Open in App
Solution

r=k[A]x+ [B]y
In this reaction r= rate of reaction and k = rate constant, [A] and B] are the concentration of the reactant A and B . x and y are the order of the reactions. If the rate constant has the same unit as the rate of reaction, the total order of the reaction will be zero. Hence, zero is the order of the reaction, whose rate constant has the same unit as the rate of reaction.
