Molecular mass of H2O=2+16=18g
As there are 2 hydrogen atoms in 1 mole of water ; Molar mass of H in 1 mole of H2O=1×2=2g
Therefore %age of H in H2O =218×100=11.1%
Also molar mass of O in 1 mole of H2O =16g Therefore %age of O in H2O =1618×100=88.9%
