Question

What is the phase difference between voltage and current in a LCR SERIES circuit at resonance?

Open in App
Solution

For LCR series circuit we know that,
Z=R2+(XLXC)2
Since, they are in resonance i.e, XL=XC
Z=R
It means that circuit is purely resistive, and in purely resistive circuit voltage and current are in phase.
So, phace diffrence ϕ=0o
