What is the probability of two independent events?

Open in App
Solution

Independent events are events, which occur without depending on the occurrence of other events. Their occurrence does not affect the other events. Suppose, there are two independent events A and B. Then, the probability of A and B together will be the product of their probabilities.

The probability will be given as:

PA∩B=P(A)×P(B)
