What is the probability that a number selected from the number 1, 2, 3,....,25 is a prime the number. When each of the given numbers is equally to be selected?

Out of 25numbers 1, 2, 3 ,...., 25 one number can be choose in 25 ways.
Total number of elementary events = 25
The number selected will be a prime number if it is chosen from the number 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23.
Favourable number of elementary events = 9
Hence, required probability = 925
