Open in App
Solution

To find probability:

Probability of any event E is the ratio of the favorable outcomes and total number of outcomes.

Here, positive integer not exceeding 100 , so total number of outcomes will be 100.

From 1 to 100 there are total 33 numbers which are divisible by 3, so favorable number of outcomes = 33

Therefore , probability = 33100

Hence , probability that a positive integer not exceeding 100 and is divisible by 3 is 33100.
