Solution

The correct option is B Mouth Buccal cavity Pharynx Oesophagus Stomach Duodenum Ileum Caecum Rectum
  • The food passes from the mouth partially digested and enters the buccal cavity, where it is chewed and mixed with amylase.
  • Then the food enters the pharynx, from here it passes down the oesophagus or food pipe.
  • Then food enters the stomach where it is digested by pepsin. The chyme formed now enters the small intestine (duodenum, jejunum and ileum). After the absorption by villi, the undigested food passes to the large intestine from the caecum and leaves it by rectum after water absorption.

So the correct answer is option B. Mouth →→ Buccal cavity →→ Pharynx →→ Oesophagus →→ Stomach →→ Duodenum →→ Ileum →→ Caecum →→ Rectum
