Solution

Pyrolysis is degradation of large hydrocarbon molecules into smaller, simple hydrocarbons in the presence of high temperature. It is not a unique reaction and number of reactions take place in the chamber resulting of which random products are formed.
Decane can possibly break into :
- C10H22 → H2C=CH-CH3 + C7H9
decane propene hexane

- C10H22 → H2C=CH2 + C8H10
decane ethene octane
