Solution

  1. The modern periodic table is defined as the table in which all the elements are known are arranged in increasing order of their atomic number.
  2. The Modern Periodic table is the most extensively accepted Periodic Table that was given by Mosely. Still, the first form of the Periodic table was given in 1869 by Dimitri Mendeleev.
  3. A periodic table is a well-organized form of all the chemical elements discovered so far in various horizontal rows called Groups and vertical columns called Periods.
  4. Elements in the periodic table are arranged by their common properties (chemical and physical) in different blocks (s, p, d, f) and thus, show similar chemical behavior.
  5. It gives useful information about the elements such that they can be used to form different equations and formulas.
  6. It is also used to differentiate the elements as metals, non-metals, and metalloids.
  7. It is an important tool for scientists, chemists, and nanotechnologists for their research purpose.
  8. It helps us to analyze the properties of elements like their electronegativity, Electron affinity, Ionization energy, atomic radius, and Metallic character.
