  3. Transcription is the process of making a copy of RNA from a gene, which can then be utilized to generate proteins.
  4. Transcription occurs in the nucleus of eukaryotes. This uses DNA as a template to make a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule.
  5. Synthesized mRNA is complimentary for the DNA strand.
  6. Transcription involves mainly three steps namely initiation, elongation, and termination.
