An electrical switch is used to break or complete the circuit. Switch in ‘ON’ position completes the circuit and switch in ‘OFF’ position breaks the circuit (stops the flow of current in the circuit).
Electrical switches are widely used in various electrical or electronic devices such as toggle switches used in houses, pushbutton switches used in microwave ovens, water pumps, mobile phones, television etc.
