What is the range of f(x) = x2−5x+6(x−3) ( R → set of all real numbers )
R-{1}
f(x) = (x−3)(x−2)(x−3)
= x -2 , if x ≠ 3
One important thing to note here is that x2−5x+6(x−3) are not the same functions,
They are same at all points except at x = 3. They behae the same way when x ≠ 3.
Range of x - 2 is R.
f(x) is not defined at x = 3 , so the range will be R - { f(3) } = R - {1}.
