Open in App
Solution

The ratio of the sine of theta

In a right-angled triangle, thetaθ is an acute angle, which means it is less than 90°.

The sine is given as the ratio between the opposite side and the hypotenuse of the triangle.

sin(θ)=oppositesidehypotenuse

For example:

If the hypotenuse and the opposite side of a right angles triangle are 5 units and 3 units respectively.

Then the ratio sine theta is =35.
