Solution

Chromatin:

  1. Chromatin is composed of DNA and proteins that condense to form chromosomes.
  2. It compresses the DNA structure into a compact unit so that it can fit within the nucleus.

Chromosomes:

  1. The DNA is packed into thread-like structures called chromosomes.
  2. The DNA is tightly coiled around histone proteins several times to form a chromosome.
  3. These are formed by the condensation of chromatin fibres.

Chromatid:

  1. A chromatid is one of the two identical halves of a chromosome that has been replicated in preparation for cell division.
