Relationship between the number of moles (n) and molar mass (m) of a substance:

Molar mass (m): Molar mass of a substance is the mass of one mole of a substance or it is the mass of 6.022×1023 particles of that substance.

  • It is expressed in gram per mol (g mol-1)

By knowing the molar mass of a substance, number of moles of that substance can be calculated in a given mass of that substance.
