Question

What is the relationship between wave length and momentum of the particle?

Open in App
Solution

According to De Broigle every body that is in motion has a wavelength associated with it and is given by the formula

Wavelength=h/mv

h-Plancks Constant

m-mass of the body

v-velocity of the body

And as

Momentum=p=mv

So we can write

Wavelength=h/p

Thank you :)
