Solution

Human eye: It is a natural optical instrument that is used to see objects by human beings.

The role of the scleroid layer of the sclera –

  1. It is the white of the eye.
  2. It is a tough protective layer of the connective tissue helping maintain the eye’s shape and providing attachment to muscles that move the eyes.

The role of aqueous humor –

  1. It is the clear fluid filling the anterior chamber of the eye.
  2. It helps to maintain the cornea’s shape, thereby providing most of the nutrients for the cornea and lens. It is involved in waste management in the eye’s front.

The role of the retina –

  1. These are sensory tissues lining the back of the eye.
  2. It comprises millions of photoreceptors converting light rays into electrical impulses which are then relayed to the brain through the optic nerve.
