Solution

Blood Circulation:

  1. The blood circulation is the process of the heart pumping blood around the body.
  2. This system is tasked with providing oxygen and nutrients to every cell in an organism’s body.

Role of Lungs:

  1. Lungs are the main organ involved in gaseous exchange.
  2. The lungs provide a place for the exchange of carbon dioxide for oxygen.
  3. Lungs are the primary organs of the respiratory system in a human and are involved in supplying oxygen from the atmosphere into the bloodstream and the oxygenated blood is supplied all over the body.
  4. Oxygen moves from the higher concentration to the lower concentration in the blood by the process of diffusion, this takes place in the alveoli in the lungs.
  5. The blood also removes waste products from the cells.
  6. One of the waste products of cellular respiration is carbon dioxide.
  7. The waste carbon dioxide is carried to the lungs where diffusion takes place and the carbon dioxide leaves the high concentration of the blood to the lower concentration in the lungs.
  8. The lungs are an important part of the circulatory system as they provide oxygen for cellular respiration and removes the waste product of cellular respiration.
