Solution

The arteries carry the blood away from the ventricles of the heart. The arterioles receive blood from the arteries and carry blood to the capillaries. The capillaries are the site of exchange of gases and nutrients between blood and the body cells. The venules receive blood form the capillaries. The veins carry the blood to the atria of the heart.
