Solution

The water that runs in the road or land (any water whether it is rain water or river water or any water) possess KINETIC ENERGY in it. Then when it falls into the dam the KINETIC ENERGY changes into POTENTIAL ENERGY. A turbine is their in the water (locted in dam) which changes the potential energy and water into hydroelectric power.
