Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) is the virus that affects the tobacco plant. This virus is of rod haped. The genetic material is a single-stranded RNA. The RNA is spirally coiled and surrounded by protein subunits. The protein subunits are called as the capsomeres and the protein coat is called as the capsid.
