IBr2 molecule has two bond pairs and three lone pairs. According to bent rule, for sp3d hybridisation all lone pairs should be in equitorial position so as to minimize lone pair- lone pair repulsion, if all 3 lone pairs in IBr2 are placed at equitorial position then both Br will be along axial position, so it will be linear structure..(all atoms lie in same line)
conclusion: hence the option (A) is correct.
