Dear student, Photosynthesis in a green plant occurs in there leaves. Inside a leaf, the chloroplasts of mesophyll cells are the site of photosynthesis. In photosynthesis, the light reactions occur in the membranes of thylakoids whereas, the dark reaction occurs in stroma of the chloroplasts. Regards
