Question

What is the slope of this horizontal straight line?

Open in App
Solution

We need atleast two points on a line in order to find its slope.
The two points on the line are A (4,4) and B (−4,4).
Slope AB is given by, m=y2y1x2x1

Slope AB =4(4)4(4)
=08=0

The slope of the given line is zero.
Apart from this calculation, we can also see that the line AB is parallel to the x-axis. Hence, its slope will be 0.
